Labor party sends letter to anti-corruption commission

The labor party has sent a letter to the anti-corruption commission asking it to investigate a case at the president’s office in which lost four laptops and one projector were lost, reports Manadhoolive.

The letter clams during October 2009 the equipment was found to be missing from the president’s office, but until today the president’s office has neither informed the media or tried to find out why it was missing.

The Labor Party said it considered this as an “act of corruption” committed by the president’s office, and demanded the case be investigated.

  1. Hundreds of people work in the President's office. If this is "an act of corruption" (as it may well be) it is also an incredibly petty one! Really? A couple hundred dollars is not worth expending the investigative capabilities and energies for the ACC (Anti-Corruption Commission), not when there are other bodies that can take care of this issue.

Instead of acting like petulant children seeking the lime light, the Labor Party should file a complaint or report with the President's Office - which is what the ACC should do now and just wait for an explanation. The ACC has far more on its plate to deal with and far better uses for its time. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are missing. Millions even. Find that.
